Display Color Tracking

To access display color tracking settings, click the monitor icon on the right side of Puppetstring's window. At the top of Display Color tracking screen, you can enable or disable tracking by clicking the toggle. You can also manage your display color tracking profiles by clicking the ... icon.

Multiple profiles can be saved, each with different settings regarding device and tuning. These profiles can be switched by using the context menu or by using keyboard control.

Device

In this section, you can choose the device to be used for tracking by clicking the ... icon. These can be entire screen or a specific application window.

When a screen or application window is selected, the preview section will show the captured video feed.

Choose between multiple Tracking FPS options to adjust how smooth the display color tracking perform. More tracking FPS results in more accurate and smooth coloring changes at the cost of system resources. 30 FPS is a good balance between accuracy and performance.

You can toggle Use Advanced Lighting to enable glow effect alongside overall colorization of your model. For example, enabling this with any the example models will result in glowing eyes.

Tuning

In this section, you can adjust the Luminosity Threshold by changing the numbers in Minimum and Maximum fields, respectively. Raising the Minimum value, for example, will prevent your character to be tinted black when the captured display color is very dark.
